◼︎What is Montréal Design Week?

Montréal Design Week celebrates design in all its forms — architecture, interior design, manufacturers, boutiques, emerging and established creators. All come together to spark a creative buzz throughout the city and, over ten days of festivities, celebrate local, sustainable, and high-quality design.

For professionals — the Salon Index-Design Trade Show, a full day of conferences, and exclusive events. For everyone — official design venues and events throughout the city.

From April 28 to May 7, 2026, Montréal, a UNESCO City of Design with a proven creative DNA, will pulse to the rhythm of design!

Conceived by Index-Design and organized by Archi-Design QC, Montréal Design Week showcases Montréal’s expertise and avant-garde spirit, inviting both professionals and design lovers to (re)discover the richness of the city’s design culture.

◼︎Where and when will the first edition of Montréal Design Week take place?

The first edition of Montréal Design Week will take place from Tuesday, April 28 to Thursday, May 7, 2026, throughout the island of Montréal.

The Conference Day will be held on Wednesday, April 29 at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts.

The Salon Index-Design Trade Show will take place on Thursday, April 30 at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montréal

◼︎Who can participate in Montréal Design Week?

Some program elements are intended for professionals in architecture and design, while others are open to everyone. Specifically for professionals: the Conference Day will be held on Wednesday, April 29 at the Montréal Museum of Fine Arts. The Salon Index-Design Trade Show will take place on Thursday, April 30 at the Grand Quay of the Port of Montréal, along with several exclusive events across the city.

For design enthusiasts, official destinations and events will be available throughout the city from April 28 to May 7, 2026.

◼︎I’m not a design or architecture professional. Which activities can I participate in?

The general public and design enthusiasts are invited to attend numerous events organized around the city from April 28 to May 7: exhibitions, tours, design boutiques, and more. The Salon Index-Design Trade Show and Conference Day are reserved for design and architecture professionals.

◼︎How can I become an exhibitor at the Salon Index-Design Trade Show?

◼︎How can I organize an event during Montréal Design Week and become an official destination?

If you wish to organize an event and become an official Montréal Design Week destination, please contact us at semainedesign@index-design.ca. By organizing an event, you will automatically be considered an official destination. If your application is accepted, you will receive confirmation within two weeks and must pay a participation fee of $2,990. The deadline to propose an event is February 10.

If you wish to become an official Montréal Design Week destination, contact us at semainedesign@index-design.ca. If your application is accepted, you will receive confirmation within two weeks and must pay a participation fee of $2,990. The deadline to propose an event is February 10.

◼︎Do I need to purchase a ticket to participate in Montréal Design Week?

To attend the Index-Design Trade Show or the Conference Day, please purchase your ticket through the online ticketing platform. To participate in Montréal Design Week events, simply attend the event of your choice.

Visits to official venues are free. Accessibility depends on the participating venues.

◼︎Are group rates available?

Yes, there are two group packages available:

  • Group package — Conference Day + Index-Design Trade Show
    5 tickets for the price of 4, save $389. Only 15 packages available.
  • Group package — Trade Show only
    10 tickets for the price of 8, come as a team and save $158.

◼︎Is the Conference Day eligible for professional training credits?

Yes, the Conference Day is eligible for training credits. To receive your training certificate, please contact us at index@index-design.ca after the event.

◼︎Is the Conference Day accessible for English Speakers ?

Yes, the Conference Day will be understandable for both French and English visitors. The conferences will be mainly in French but subtitles will be provided.
