Espace VERRE Gallery presents Myth, Metaphor, and Glass Paste – A Retrospective, honoring Montreal artist and educator Donald Robertson. For over forty years, he has transformed glass paste into poetic sculptures, inspired by myths, memory, and nature, inviting contemplation. His delicate, luminous works reveal the silent forces of the world, capturing flowing water, eroding forms, and objects as symbols. A passionate mentor, Robertson has guided hundreds of students, an effort recognized in 2025 by Quebec’s Order of Excellence in Education. The retrospective features around thirty pieces, accompanied by a catalog rich in critical essays and personal reflections.
