Echoes : Public Collaborative Artwork

Monday May 4

17:00⏤19:00

The Peel Basin

Presented by the Corridor Culturel and supported by Park Canada, a gateway to a collective culture, the project features nine public artworks created for the occasion by June Barry, Franco Égalité, Thaïla Khampo, and Meky Ottawa, four artists and four distinct voices blending recollection and contemporary mythology. Taking shape in nine sculptural figures that explore heritage, their worlds tell the story of the canal through the multiple forms that have shaped it.

The exhibition is presented on the occasion of the 200th anniversary of the Lachine Canal and is open to the public year-round.

This initiative was selected as part of the call for participation issued by the Bureau de design de la ville de Montréal.
