A tour of the atelier b studio-shop will be followed by a recording of the next episode of Champ Lexical, atelier b’s podcast.
The theme of this episode will be Clothing and Design objects and topics to be discussed will include the connection between craftsmanship and design, invisible research, and the transfer of know-how. Champ Lexical is a series of discussions where the atelier b team explores social issues related to design practice with people directly affected by the topics at hand. Freely inspired by discussions within the team, this project aims to be a space for exchange where we can share our experiences and gradually implement changes that align with atelier b’s values.
The guests for this episode are Catherine Métivier (atelier b), Mariouche Gagné (Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec and Harricana), and Lila Rousselet (Centre des textiles contemporains de Montréal, Montloup)Tour of the venue at 4 p.m., recording from 6 to 7 p.m. No reservation required.

This initiative was selected by the Conseil des métiers d’art du Québec (CMAQ), whose mission is to represent, support, and develop the field of arts and crafts in Quebec. The CMAQ brings together and represents professional artisans in the arts and crafts sector, supports their professional development, and promotes the dissemination and marketing of their creations. To achieve this, it collaborates with the entire arts and crafts ecosystem in Quebec and Canada. The CMAQ has over 1,000 professional members. For Design Week, the CMAQ offers a guide to artisan workshops and events to explore throughout Quebec’s cities of art.
